Lobito Atlantic Railway participated in the Inter-Regional Technical Meeting on the Lobito Corridor

Lobito Atlantic Railway (LAR) participated in the Inter-Regional Technical Meeting on the Lobito Corridor, held in Huambo, bringing together representatives from the 4th, 7th and 8th Tax Regions, as well as other entities involved in the development of the corridor.

During the meeting, we presented the company's operational results, traffic growth between 2024 and 2026, and key priorities to further strengthen efficiency and resilience across corridor operations.

The session also provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue with the General Tax Administration (AGT) on tax and customs matters related to railway activity and the coordination of cross-border operations. In this context, both parties expressed their interest in strengthening institutional cooperation, with a bilateral meeting agreed to continue discussions and explore opportunities for process improvement and simplification.

The programme also included a visit to the Dango Terminal, allowing participants to gain first-hand insight into the infrastructure and operations supporting the development and competitiveness of the Lobito Corridor.
