Yesterday, in Huambo, LAR welcomed a delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Angola.

The visit began at Huambo Station, with an overview of rail operations, followed by a tour of the LAR Training Centre.

The centre plays an important role in developing LAR’s workforce. In September alone, around 175 employees took part in training and awareness sessions covering compliance, health, and wellbeing, helping strengthen the skills and culture required to support a safe and efficient railway operation.

The centre is also temporarily hosting the Faculty of Economics of José Eduardo dos Santos University (UJES), further reinforcing its role as a hub for learning and development within the wider community.

We thank the U.S. Embassy for its interest in our work and our Huambo teams for their warm welcome and support throughout the visit.
