Lobito Atlantic Railway (LAR) has passed the milestone of 100,000 tonnes of freight transported year-to-date. August 2025 also represented a historic milestone, with a record 22,000 tonnes of minerals transported between Lobito (Angola) and Kolwezi (DRC).

 
This achievement reflects the continuous investment in rolling stock, the training and development of local employees, and the ongoing development and modernization of infrastructure.
