At the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026, Lobito Atlantic Railway (LAR) achieved key operational milestones that further strengthen the role of the Lobito Corridor as a strategic logistics platform.
In December 2025, the highest monthly volume to date was achieved, with 37,000 tons in domestic and international traffic.
In January 2026, LAR received the largest sulfur bulk carrier to date, with 50,000 tons, at the Mining Terminal in the Port of Lobito, in close coordination with its partners Ameropa and Tradevis.
These milestones reflect the continued growth of LAR’s operations, the increasing scale of traffic moving through the corridor, and the strength of its integrated rail-port logistics model.
LAR remains committed to operational efficiency, reliability, and supporting regional and international trade flows.
